Severe Weather Threat Continues Across the Central U.S.; Critical Fire Weather Conditions in New Mexico

Severe thunderstorms will continue to be likely across the Central Plains into the Midwest on Monday. Thunderstorm development is also possible in portions of the Middle Mississippi Valley to Lower Michigan Monday afternoon. Systems and Facilities Division (SFD)

The Systems and Facilities Division (SFD) manages the operations and maintenance of the various systems and facilities which support the NWS Western Region weather enterprise. Examples include Doppler Radar (WSR-88D), Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), local and wide area networks, buildings, grounds, and towers, just to name a few.
